In the process of installing a brand new master image on Windows Server 2019 in the homelab for the fresh of the press Citrix VAD 7 1912 build out and kept getting an error on my ActivClient installer.
CustomAction AIAssociateSmartCardsWithProductX86 returned actual error code 1603
ERR|Failed to InitContext for SCard
Turned out that the fix was to connect up my smart card reader with a card in it and then try the install again. Yay, success!
